On Thursday of last week the drivers side seatbelt buckle stopped engaging. I sought out a replacement part for $60.00 but decided to try and explain my dilemma to smart center Laguna Niguel. After talking with the service writer David Noble he made to call to warranty the part! A big thanks to everyone at smart center Laguna Niguel and smart USA for this kind gesture! I am glad to see my safety is not just my concern. All the best, Aaron Lephart

If you look in to seatbelt recalls over the past 10 years, all of the manufacturers will replace a defective seatbelt no matter how old the vehicle is in order to keep from having a lawsuit. Also, the catalytic converter has to be replaced by the manufacturer if it fails before 10 years or 80k by regulation of the government. It is good that you did not have to fight with the stealership to make good on this, though.
