I have my smart car! Picked it up this evening!
The whole smart center Laguna Niguel experience was great. Special thanks to Mark and Dean at the smart center for bypassing some steps to make it a breeze.
I am pretty tired so I will post more tomorrow. Just glad to have the wait over!
A couple things I noticed is you cannot coast as long at you can in a regular vehicle and the shifting is improved over the last smart car I drove.

Congratulations and good luck with the car !
Same colour as my Smart btw. 
Shifting: Keep in mind, that it's not an automatic, but an automated manual (it still have to actuate and release the clutch). Don't be too nervous with the throttle, after some practice it will shift gears exactly when you want it to.
Just curious: No number plates ?

OK some updates since a full night of sleep!
I haven’t been able to post detailed pictures because long story short I am stuck on a laptop as my desktop awaits a new BIOS chip after a failed BIOS update. Been that way for almost 2 weeks! The only way I can post pictures now is to upload them from my phone to my blog, then snag off my blog and embed them into the post. However embedded images are only viewable to registered users so that is limiting!
Again, I reiterate Laguna Niguel smart center was great to deal with!
My antenna was loose and almost fell off, quickly fixed before anything happened.
Decided to only do interior upgrades at the moment, I am planning a little trip with my smart car and I don't want to take the chance of damaging my BRABUS HID headlamps or the possibility of a smart center failing to warranty something if a problem arises on my trip. Just thinking ahead!
So far I have installed the BRABUS floor mats and pedals. I love them both! The brake pedal replaced the OEM rubber pad while the gas pedal was an overlay on the OEM plastic pedal.
Everyone smiles, most wave, most are women! No extracurricular prospects sighted!
I had car less then 3 hours and I broke a part. It was entirely my own doing! Like most Mercedes I thought the parking brake boot just slide off the handle. Well it doesn’t and I ended up snapping the parking brake cable. Turns out the parking brake knob is THREADED into the parking brake cable. I ended up prying it off and snapping the cable off inside the knob. Please don't try this at home; this level of expertise took me years to obtain!

Got the stock parking brake assy. removed. Not as bad as I had originally thought. The parking brake lever actuates via a medal rod through the floorboard. The cable I broke must be a part of the shifter. It was labeled with a 451 number so I will get that ordered Monday.
My BRABUS shift knob doesn’t fit, must be for the euro spec shifter. I purchased that locally at the Mercedes dealer back in February.

Well the parking brake replacement is $75.00. The bad news is there is no ETA on getting it! So until then the car is useable but the interior looks like a work in progress.
First order of business after the floor mats and pedals was tint! Car is allot cooler now inside. Catch 22 thought, as I cannot lower my windows for 3 days as the film cures. Makes me look stuck up when I get signaled to lower my window from motorists and don't.

Hey Aaron!
I finally had a few minutes to check on whether you got your car yet - Congrats!!!! The one we ordered is due to arrive this coming week (my physical therapist is purchasing it).
How do you like it so far?
