Welcome new smart car 451 forum members! Please come on in and make yourself at home. Please share why you purchased a smart car and what you would like to see improved on the current model. Also any accessories you have planned for your smart car. I will go ahead and start this off. I am getting a smart car because I drove one back in 1998 when they where first introduced in Europe. With gas prices as high as they are now it just makes sense. Even more so it's about changing the mentality of American drivers. Why carry around all the excess weight? My 2 complaints are minor and not even having my car yet, may diminish over time. 1 is the lack of cruise control. However there are many people working on a aftermarket solution to this. My only idea why smart did not include this as a factory option was them underestimating the laziness of Americans or them wanting to keep the smart car a "city" car and off the public highways for long periods of time. While there is no special edition smart cars in the US, yet. I have set out to create a smart BRABUS exclusive clone. Blacked out BRABUS HID Headlights, shifter, pedals, parking brake, exhaust, rear latch are just some of the items I have set to go on my smart car! All the best, Aaron Lephart

The one special edition smart I like is the "limited two". I love that color combo with the brown leather interior. Didn't care much for the CC though. In all my cars, I have never used the CC feature.

The special edition is callled the BRABUS Xclusive. I agree on the limted two interior. I like the wood look. Something tells me that color with polo green metallic exterior would look sweet! All the best, Aaron Lephart

The complete kit (shocks, springs, rear wing extension, tires & rims) lists for about $3,600 (> 2,300 Euros) in Europe. Add $600 for transportation and about $400 again for custom duties etc.
