Two reasons for the immediate resale: trying to make a profit (if I can) and I thought I might be able to fit my 2 small kids in somehow (they are 5 and 7) but obviously it won't work. The smart is a great, fun car to drive. But when you need to transport little kids around, it's not practical.

Can't say I agree with the "trying to make a buck" standpoint but a couple suggestions. Thank you for being honest. If possible list the sound and equipment options on the vehicle. Comfort package? Premium audio? Etc. If there is not enough text in the autotrader ad, list them on here. FYI there are smart cars on ebay right now that have buy-it-now options between 19-25k. Aaron Lephart

The options include fog lamps and analog clock and tach. Thats it! As far as pricing goes, of course everthing is negotiable.

Unless autotrader put it in by default, power steering is an option on the smart car. It's also part of a package, thats why I asked. Aaron Lephart

Not sure on the autotrader options, but the car does NOT have power steering. I can't see why anyone would want it, considering how easy it steers without any assist. It appears I'm asking too much, too soon. What do you guys think is a fair price, given the present market conditions? I'm open to any suggestions.

I would drop it to 20k and see what response you get! Your car lacks 2 option packages that; for the money I would have gotten. But there are plenty of people out there that would'nt want them. Good luck! Aaron Lephart
