I took my first test drive of the new Fiat 500 about a week and a half ago. It is EPA rated at 38mpg and it has the manual transmission that I prefer. I test drove the sport package model with the power moonroof and sportier suspension. It's no race car, but the sport mode is still not as firm as the Miata I am currently driving. The transmission shift is nice and smooth as well. Prices are supposed to start around $15,600 and range up to 21,000 according to the dealer.

Yeah, I know about the twin air. 875cc of two cylinder engine with a turbo that produces about as much horsepower and torque as the 1.4l normally asperated engine that we are getting. It has a nice rev sound to it as well.

I still wouldn't mind getting one, but it will be a while before I get my financial life back in order. I would still like to see them bring over the Twin Air engine, but sales here have been lack-luster at best. They supposedly have a 6 month inventory on hand. I get brochures in the mail on a frequent basis.
