Excellent.

In Dallas, Frys Electronics has two spots dedicated to electric vehicles.   Too bad the police don't ticket the non electric vehicles for parking in those spots.

Do they offer charging? Is it paid or free?

All the best,

That is a very practical motorcycle for most of the people I work with.  It's about time they make something which an get the typical suburban commuter into town and back.  The major problem with most of the electric vehicles I have seen is the limited range is less than what most people have to commute now-a-days.  At least here in Dallas.

Now news is coming sometime this month that may allow Enertia owners (my model) a way of having increased range! I can deal with the limited top speed as most of my riding is city streets. Adding even 20% range would be huge for me.

OK the news was they entered a partnership with flextronics for Worldwide distribution. Still holding out hope!

I had called SCE months ago about the chargers installed at my local Costco being outdated and turned off. They also used the old inductive paddel's. Now comes word that they will all be upgraded!

Well it was up for about 2 hours @ http://mtajudy.wordpress.com/2010/09/29/my-enertia-has-a-big-sister/ I managed to read it. The news is Brammo is coming out with an Enertia plus model. Offering a 60mile range and some other updates like getting rid of the tank turn on button! Also some new colors. No word on pice but current Enertia owners will be able to upgrade! It was probably taken down because somone jumped the gun on the announcement.

All the best,

Aaron Lephart

Replaced the OEM standard chain with a good quality O-ring chain. NIGHT AND DAY difference! I wish this came with the bike. Getting more range and not having to adjust it nearly as often!

All the best,

Aaron Lephart

I would have thought they would have put a belt on it.  Smoother and less maintenance.

Ditto, this has been brought up  to them before. I guess belts brought up a new set of "issues" as it relates to electric motors.

All the best,

Aaron Lephart

I made a LED tallight for the Brammo Enertia out of old bike parts. The donor bike was a Honda 600RR. I had to switch to a clear taillight lens because the LED's are red. This looks trick with the already clear turnsignals. Stock bulb output is 2x 5W and 21W for the brakelight. LED setup is .3W and 3.4W for brakelight. I replaced the 55W halogen bulb with a 35W bulb. (I only ride in the day anyhow) And it was only $15.00 vs $200.00 for a LED 30W headlight. Which is still a future project. Then I replaced the 5W license plate light with a 1W LED festoon bulb. Ever little bit helps.

Aaron Lephart

Just checking in! I just hit 3,000 gas free miles on the Brammo Enertia! And that is in a little less then 6 months of ownership. To be honest I wish it was more but driving a car with 2 people was an absolute necessity for 2 of those months.

The Brammo's warranty is up in a couple days! I contacted Brammo and they made me a sweet arrangement to extend the warranty for another full year!

That’s a HUGE load off my mind. Electric bikes being as new as they are I want to make sure everything is covered!

Off to go dream of that LED headlight.

All the best,

Aaron Lephart

What about a HID headlight?  They use less energy with a brighter light than a halogen and cost a lot less.
